Build a customer support automation demo

A support automation pitch becomes easier to discuss when the buyer can explore one customer request from arrival to resolution. Show the ordinary case, then show where automation should stop and a person should take over.

Start with one recognizable support request

Use a fictional order-status question instead of an abstract promise to automate support. Give the prospect enough context to judge the workflow: what the customer asked, what information is available, and what the support team needs next.

For example: “I ordered a desk lamp last week. Can you check the delivery?” Use an invented customer and order reference. The demo should show the proposed process without copying a real customer ticket.

Make the handoff visible

In DemoPop, start with the customer support template and edit the steps and prepared outputs to match your proposed service. You are authoring the example; DemoPop does not query a help desk or generate an answer.

  • Show the incoming question and the details needed to handle it.
  • Display a sample classification or customer record.
  • Write the answer that would be appropriate when enough information is available.
  • Show a human-review step for an exception.
  • Finish with a clear example status and next action.

Prepare three sales scenarios

Routine request: all required details are present, so the authored reply can address the question. Missing information: the example asks for an order reference before proceeding. Human escalation: the customer needs a person, so the demo prepares a handoff instead of pretending every case can be resolved automatically.

Use scenario overrides to change the relevant output and skip steps that no longer apply. A missing-detail scenario should not quietly end with a confirmed resolution. Run each scenario yourself before sharing.

Ask questions that improve the proposal

Ask the prospect which requests their team handles most often, what information is usually missing, and which cases must always reach a person. Those answers help define the service you will actually build.

A useful demo discussion ends with an agreed boundary: what the proposed automation may do, what it must not do, and who owns unresolved cases. It does not need an unsupported claim about response-time savings.

Share the example and explain its limits

Add your agency name, the prospect’s business name, and an accent color. Publish the showroom and share its link. Prospects can explore a published showroom without an account.

DemoPop is an authored simulation. It does not read orders, connect to a help desk, send customer replies, or validate an AI model. If the buyer needs proof of integration or answer quality, plan a separate technical test with agreed data and acceptance criteria. The support template is included in the free Pilot.
