Use a small, fictional invoice
Choose one invented supplier, invoice reference, amount, and purchase-order reference. Keep the example simple enough to follow in a sales call. Label it as sample data and avoid uploading a real financial document.
Your story might be: an invoice arrives, its expected fields are displayed, checks identify a problem, and a reviewer decides the next step. DemoPop displays prepared records and outputs; it does not extract fields from an uploaded invoice.
Show the proposed control points
Open the invoice template and adapt the steps to your service. Make each step answer a buyer’s question.
- What information should the workflow capture?
- What makes a document incomplete or suspicious?
- How should a duplicate be handled?
- Who needs to approve the next action?
- What should the operator see at the end?
Do not let every scenario end in approval
Build an ordinary path with complete information. Then author a duplicate path that stops for review and a missing-reference path that requests clarification. Change the final status and skip downstream steps where appropriate.
For the duplicate example, write a prepared record such as “Possible duplicate: INV-DEMO-104; next action: review.” That wording demonstrates a proposed decision without implying that DemoPop searched an accounting system.
Use the demo to agree on scope
Ask how the prospect currently handles exceptions, who can authorize payment, and what evidence the reviewer needs. Separate the workflow discussion from technical proof: a simulation cannot establish extraction accuracy, accounting compatibility, or audit readiness.
If the buyer asks about hours saved, collect their current volume and handling time before estimating. Describe any estimate as an assumption to validate during delivery, rather than a result achieved by DemoPop.
Publish a clear next step
Add the prospect’s business name, review all scenarios, and publish the showroom. Use your optional agency contact link to lead to a scoping conversation. Review visit sessions and follow-up requests in your studio; these are interest signals, not evidence of a sale.
The invoice template is included in the free Pilot. No accounting connection, real payment, or external document processing occurs inside the demo. Use a separate controlled implementation test when the prospect needs those capabilities verified.
